'H20 Yeah!' is an innovative blend of water
education and variety entertainment. Doug uses juggling, physical
comedy, magic and audience interaction to promote awareness of water as
a precious natural resource. His show is based on the strong belief
that today's young people can make a difference in preserving our clean
water supply. Students and teachers learn how to incorporate the
concepts of water conservation and water pollution prevention into
their day-to-day activities. This format has proven successful in
hundreds of schools because it makes learning fun! 'H2O Yeah!'is highly
interactive, complete with volunteers and a question and answer
session.

Doug attempts the improbable and flirts with disaster by juggling a
water balloon, an umbrella and a fish while teaching about the water
cycle. A teacher volunteer is coaxed onstage to assist in teaching the
students how to juggle 3 giant globes. The concepts of water
conservation and storm drain pollution prevention are introduced with
the incorporation of each globe. A student volunteer creates magic by
helping Doug transform shredded paper into a 'water wizard' hat as he
explains the difference between clean water, stormwater and wastewater.
Throughout the show, a 'mad professor' character reinforces and
summarizes the ideas that are taught using magic and a visual aid flip
chart. |
