Rock Steady Juggling is proud to present: 'We Can Work It Out'
- a conflict resolution assembly program for elementary schools. We use
juggling, physical comedy, plate spinning, live music and audience
participation to teach ground rules and the 3 steps to working out
conflicts.
We are trained in conflict resolution through the Community Boards
Teacher Training Program. The Community Boards’ curriculum
provides the bedrock for the show’s message. For more information
on conflict resolution curriculum, go to: Community Boards and the Pennisula Conflict Resolution Center. |

Doug and his partner demonstrate a creative resolution to an escalating
conflict in a ballet parody to the music of ‘Blue Danube’.
Next, they explain the ground rules and the 3 steps to resolving
conflicts through slapstick humor and juggling virtuosity. A star is
born when a student volunteer assists Doug in a skit that teaches
‘anger management’ skills. The entire school joins the act
as we sing the ‘Big Bully Blues’. Using a simple three-step
process, a teacher volunteer mediates a conflict between Doug and his
partner while they juggle clubs. This mediation turns into a memorable
balancing act as the volunteer is caught in the middle of the juggling
pattern as she delicately balances up to 5 spinning plates!
